Teaching in front of your peers makes you have a different communication style at times: different questions are asked, and sometimes, it can help to point out areas of weakness and strength that you might have not seen otherwise. The reflection time after a lesson is taught, I believe, is the most important time to learn about how I can do better. I remember when I was teaching this first peer lesson how nervous I was. I saw how there were some issues with my communication, too. My peers also said I should have paced around the room more to check to see if they needed help. This is something I do a lot now when I teach, that I didn’t do until after I taught this lesson and my peers explained why they thought it was important. I’ve learned from teaching lessons to my peers, how important it is to be able to communicate my directions clearly in any setting, and to any person. This lesson made me a stronger presenter and communicator because it wasn’t what I was use to when teaching. I received a lot of constructive criticism , which has now made me a better teacher.
